Implants
Do you have missing teeth?
Do you have loose or uncomfortable dentures?
Do you worry about having to wear dentures?
Missing teeth or loose dentures can be an embarrassment or cause upset for all ages. Not being able to eat comfortably causes misery for many. Dental Implants offer a modern way of replacing missing teeth providing a solution to all these problems enabling you to eat comfortably and smile naturally. They feel, look and work just like your own teeth.
A dental implant is composed of three key components: a small titanium screw that is inserted into and fuses with the jawbone, an “abutment” or post which attaches to the implant, and a crown (in the case of one implant) that fits over the abutment to provide a natural looking tooth that functions well. Dental implants may be used to replace individual teeth, multiple teeth, or all your teeth in one or both arches.
Langmans Dental Health Centres have been placing dental implants since the year 2000 and we also welcome referrals from other dental practices. For more information on dental implants please check out our Patient Information Leaflet below:

Cone Beam CT Scans (CBCT)
Implant surgery requires more advanced x-ray imaging. In addition to our digital radiographic equipment, we have made another significant investment in a Cone Beam CT scanner which provides us with high quality imaging in a three-dimensional format. This allows for concise and predictable treatment planning.
It’s fast, simple and completely painless. The machine moves around your head in a circular motion taking images of the specified area. From that your dentist can see computer generated views of the bones of the face, the teeth, and other details from any angle, in 3D. For implant planning we would particularly use it to accurately show the width and length of available bone, give indications to the thickness and density of the bone, and provide virtual implant placement.
We welcome referrals from local dental practices for cone beam CT scans and can provide the image files on disk for the patient to take the same day.
