Invisalign is a teeth straightening system that uses a series of clear, removable, custom-made aligners to gently move teeth into their correct positions.
Invisalign aligners are clear, plastic trays that are custom-made to fit over your teeth. They are virtually invisible, so no one will know you’re wearing them unless you tell them.
How does it work?
The clear aligners are created just for you, using 3D computer imaging software. Each aligner is worn for around two weeks before being replaced by the next in the series. As you replace each aligner, your teeth will move little by little, until they have straightened to the final position.
You will need to wear the aligners for 22 hours a day, but can remove them for eating, brushing and flossing.
What are the benefits?
- Clear braces which are virtually invisible
- Removable for eating and cleaning
- No food restrictions. You can eat whatever you want.
- Easier to brush and floss than with traditional fixed braces
